Senior Applied Scientist

Driving complex, end-to-end projects, the full-time remote Senior Applied Scientist will focus on model post-training and reward modeling to enhance AI technologies for home shopping experiences, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Own LLM post-training pipelines and run training end-to-end on GPU infrastructure Build and train multi-category reward models that generate scalar signals from contrastive preference pairs Provide technical leadership and mentorship while translating advanced AI research into production impact Required qualifications Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field Hands-on experience with LLM post-training and reinforcement learning fine-tuning on GPU infrastructure Strong knowledge of generative AI, including foundation models and reinforcement learning Ability to independently scope and solve ambiguous problems while providing technical leadership Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
