COBOL Developer

We are seeking an experienced COBOL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mainframe development skills, experience in production support, and a solid background in the banking or financial services industry. This role requires someone who can troubleshoot complex issues, work independently, and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners. Primary Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and support COBOL applications in a production environment. Provide break/fix support, debugging, and production issue resolution. Collaborate with business analysts and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Ensure the reliability and performance of batch processing and online transaction systems. Participate in high-availability environments, adhering to best practices for mainframe operations. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of COBOL development experience in a production environment. Strong understanding of mainframe environments, including batch processing and online transactions. Experience in the banking or financial services industry (e.g., deposits, loans, payments, ACH, teller, or core systems). Proven experience in break/fix support, debugging, and troubleshooting production issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
