Emergency VeterinarianEmployer: Veterinary Specialists of North America LLC, d/b/a Red Bank Veterinary Hospital - Mount LaurelJob Location: Mount Laurel, New JerseyJob Type: Full TimeRate of Pay: $123,802 to $150,000 per yearDuties: Build rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to/empathizing with their concerns. Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs. Examine animals to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries. Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, performing surgery, or other therapies while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. Participating in outpatient case care, emergency case triage, and monitoring hospitalized ER and specialty patients overnight. Triage multiple patients at once, focus on client education, perform emergency procedures and surgery, and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results. Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up to date through established protocols. Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine. Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
