Position OverviewThis position translates ideas and market research into strategy to manage the product and portfolio life cycles. Additionally, ensures that a product’s services and features meet the market's needs and the product's initial design intent. Develop strategies to maintain or increase a product’s profit margin throughout the product life cycle. Stays abreast of competitor activities as well as industry trends and regulatory compliance issues. Established overall strategy for delivering sales tools and collateral to the field for sales engagements. Gathered product evidence in the form of benchmarks, demos, case studies, and testimonials. Boost internal and external product awareness through websites, events, advertising, and PR. Responsible for determining pricing, channel placement, launch, sustained promotion, and ongoing changes to products through the product life cycle.Qualifications3+ years of product marketing experience; should include knowledge of manufacturing environment and sales organizations/ channels, preferably in consumer durable or packaged goods3+ additional years in a mechanical, electrical or embedded software engineering role.Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or software engineering. MBA a plusStil retain the ability to design mechanical, electrical or software systems SkillsBusiness development and product marketing background, with experience developing product plans and strategy workKnowledge of processes related to brand marketing, market research, sales training, and field communications Computer literate in MS Office productsExcellent written and oral presentation skills – for both internal groups as well as clients and trade groups/ seminarsGood problem-solving skills, Six Sigma training a plusFlexibility and adaptabilityAction and results orientedPersuasive and capable of leading teams with vision and courage of convictionsExperience in product lifecycle managementOrganizational and leadership abilities and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.Excellent communication skillsCreative thinking skillsTeam spirit and team players, who understand that flying solo is a limiting and isolating choice.
