Clinical Laboratory Manager

Position Summary The incumbent is directly responsible for all technical, administrative and supervisory functions in a major division of the lab; a highly specialized and technically complex laboratory unit or function; or a division with multiple shift operations. Position may have CLS Supervisor(s) reporting to it. Performs bench testing as needed. Required Qualifications Three or more years applicable experience Prior experience in supervision Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Current CA CLS License Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Licenses and Certifications Clinical Laboratory Scientist Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
