Contracts & Compliance Manager

This company is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead corporate compliance and support the company’s commercial contracting activities. This position will manage contracts from intake through execution, support complex negotiations, identify and mitigate legal and business risks, and help maintain a strong compliance framework supporting the company’s operations and growth. The Compliance Manager will work closely with executive leadership and internal stakeholders on commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, customs and export controls, internal policies, audits, and compliance training . Key Responsibilities Manage the contract lifecycle from intake through review, negotiation, approval, and signature . Review and negotiate customer, supplier, vendor, and other commercial agreements , including NDAs, terms and conditions, and related contractual documents. Identify contractual and compliance risks and recommend practical solutions to management. Ensure compliance with applicable commercial, business, customs, trade, and export-control requirements . Develop, implement, and maintain corporate compliance policies, procedures, controls, and compliance management systems. Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits and coordinate corrective actions when necessary. Support compliance related to data protection, anti-corruption, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, corporate espionage, and ethical business conduct . Partner with internal departments to improve contract cycle times and ensure appropriate approvals and documentation. Develop and deliver compliance training for employees and managers. Monitor changes in applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards and recommend updates to company policies and practices. Maintain accurate compliance and contract records and provide regular reporting to executive management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Compliance, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field ; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred. Experience in corporate compliance, contracts management, commercial contracting, legal operations, or a related function , preferably within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, robotics, industrial technology, or another highly regulated environment. Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, business law, customs regulations, and regulatory compliance . Experience reviewing and negotiating customer and supplier agreements. Knowledge of U.S. export controls, including ITAR and EAR , is strongly preferred. Familiarity with applicable ISO and industry quality/compliance standards preferred. Ability to interpret contractual and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business guidance. Strong negotiation, communication, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills. High level of integrity, discretion, and judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and compliance priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract/compliance databases or management systems. Fluent written and verbal business English. Preferred Experience Experience working within a precision manufacturing, aerospace, defense, robotics, motion-control, or advanced technology organization is highly desirable.
