Registered Nurse Telemetry

Job Summary:
Provide acute care nursing services to telemetry patients, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate care. This role requires managing multiple complex patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans tailored to telemetry needs.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to any abnormalities or emergencies.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments such as PCA, wound vacs, and TPN.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and communicate patient status.
• Document patient progress accurately in the EMR system following hospital policies.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of telemetry equipment and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry or med-surg setting.
• Demonstrate telemetry competency with the ability to manage 6-7 patients per shift.
• Experience with urology and bowel patient populations preferred.
• Certifications: BLS and successful completion of telemetry training preferred.
• Strong communication skills with team members, patients, and providers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
