Director of Product (New York City Metropolitan Area)

Full-time

Reviva | Deorganising Crime ™

Head of Product | Complex B2B SaaS / FinTech

Location: New York City (Hybrid)

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 Base

Type: Full-time, Permanent

We're working with an established, privately owned technology business looking to appoint a Head of Product to lead the next stage of its product development.

The company develops highly complex, data-intensive B2B software used by enterprise customers to manage business-critical workflows. Its products operate in technically demanding environments, involving sophisticated data processing, multiple systems and intricate customer requirements.

Reliability, accuracy and a deep understanding of how customers use the technology are fundamental to the product.

The business has a strong technical foundation and an established customer base. With opportunities to develop its products and expand into new areas, the priority now is to bring greater structure to product strategy, prioritisation and delivery.

This is an opportunity for an experienced product leader who enjoys being close to the product, customers and engineering teams, rather than operating purely at a strategic level.

The Role

You'll take ownership of product direction, working closely with senior leadership, engineering and customers to determine what gets built, why it matters and how it should be delivered.

A key part of the position will be introducing a more structured approach to product management, ensuring that customer requests, commercial opportunities and technical priorities are evaluated against a clear roadmap.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Owning and developing the product strategy and roadmap, aligning priorities with customer needs and wider business objectives.
  • Establishing effective product management processes, from discovery and requirements gathering through to delivery and release.
  • Working closely with engineering to translate complex customer problems into clearly defined, actionable requirements.
  • Evaluating competing customer requests and commercial opportunities, making informed decisions about what to prioritise and what not to pursue.
  • Leading and developing a small product team, providing direction while remaining actively involved in day-to-day product decisions.
  • Engaging directly with customers to understand their workflows, challenges and evolving requirements.
  • Improving consistency, transparency and accountability across product planning and delivery.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with experienced Heads of Product, Directors of Product and senior product leaders who have demonstrated ownership of complex B2B software products.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Significant product management experience within B2B SaaS, including ownership of product strategy, roadmaps and delivery.
  • Experience leading and developing product managers within a relatively small or growing software organisation.
  • A track record of improving product processes, prioritisation and delivery outcomes.
  • Strong technical understanding, particularly around complex workflows, data-intensive products and software integrations.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers and translating business problems into product requirements.
  • The commercial judgement to balance customer demands, business opportunities and engineering capacity.
  • A hands-on approach, with the ability to move between strategic planning and detailed product execution.

Experience in financial technology, regulated industries or similarly complex B2B SaaS environments would be advantageous, but specific sector experience is not essential.

We're particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate how they've improved an existing product, introduced structure into a growing product function and made difficult prioritisation decisions.

What's on Offer

  • Base salary: $200,000–$250,000 + matching 401k
  • Location: New York City, hybrid working
  • Ownership of product direction within an established, independent software business.
  • The opportunity to shape product management processes and directly influence how the company develops its technology.
  • Close collaboration with senior leadership, engineering and customers.
  • A hands-on leadership position with genuine responsibility for product decisions and delivery.

This position would suit someone who enjoys the autonomy and pace of a smaller technology business and wants to make a meaningful contribution to both product strategy and execution.
