Senior Tax Associate

Tax SeniorPattillo, Brown & Hill, L.L.P. is growing, and we're looking for a talented Tax Senior to join our dynamic Temple, Texas office. At PB&H, you won't just prepare tax returns, you'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, a mentor to staff, and a valued member of a team that thrives on collaboration, integrity, and innovation.What You'll Do:Lead monthly financial reporting, bookkeeping, and general ledger maintenance in QuickBooksPrepare and review tax returns for a variety of entities, including 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 1040, and 990Manage payroll processing, quarterly 941s, W-2s, and 1099sAssist and advise clients across federal, state, and local tax matters with regards to sales and incomeEngage with tax authorities as neededGuide and mentor junior staff; provide training when requiredLeverage technology to streamline workflow using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and firm-specific platformsCollaborate directly with partners on special projects and continuous improvement initiativesWho You Are:You bring 5+ years of progressive tax experienceYou are a CPAYou have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsYou're organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workflowYou enjoy working with a team and have the flexibility to adapt to a variety of client needsYou have experience with modern tax, accounting, and payroll softwareWhat You've Accomplished:Hold a Bachelor's degree with 30+ hours of accounting courseworkHands-on experience with business and individual tax preparationConfident in federal, state and local tax complianceDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracyWhy You'll Love Working With Us:Team-first culture: We're high-performing, upbeat, and supportiveCareer development: We invest in your professional growth with training and mentorshipWork-life balance: We believe balance drives long-term success and we work to do this using various methodsReputation & impact: Join one of the region's most trusted accounting firmsAt PB&H, we empower our people to thrive.
