About the Role

Devenere Law Collective is seeking an experienced, results-driven  Remote Civil Litigation Attorney to join our growing practice. This is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while representing clients throughout Texas and in federal court.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in business and real estate litigation, is comfortable managing cases from inception through trial, and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from pre-suit through trial.

• Represent business owners, real estate investors, and commercial clients in state and federal courts.

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, contracts, and settlement agreements.

• Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.

• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal counsel to clients.

• Collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in a fully remote environment.

• Maintain accurate timekeeping and meet a  minimum expectation of 50 billable hours per week .

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Active Texas law license in good standing.

• Admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas is required.

• Five (5) or more years of civil litigation experience.

• Demonstrated experience practicing  business law and real estate law .

• Proven  trial experience , including courtroom advocacy.

• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and case management skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines and client expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in  estate planning and/or  tax law .

• Existing book of business or business development experience is a plus.

• Experience advising entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, commercial property owners, or real estate investors.
