With over 5,000 employees and a presence in every county across the state, Texas A&M AgriLife is uniquely positioned to improve lives, environments and the Texas economy through education, research, extension and service.Click here to learn more about how you can be a part of AgriLife and make a difference in the world!Position InformationWe are seeking a Program Coordinator II, who under general supervision, works collaboratively with departmental leadership to implement academic programs and manage marketing and communication needs.Responsibilities:65% Academic Program CoordinationCoordinate the department’s graduate programsSupport the Associate Department Head for Graduate Programs.Assist with program assessments and program reviews.Support the Graduate Program CommitteeAssist with course scheduling.Assist with student outreach recruitment for graduate programs. Outreach events can be local or out of state.Data collection and tracking for various program platforms and internal applications.Schedule travel and assist with logistics for graduate seminars.Host seminar speakers.Assist with the logistics of the summer undergraduate research program and international field trip learning experiences.Identify of funding opportunities and assist with data and preparation for training grants.Assist with career and professional development for undergraduate and graduate students. Coordinate Nutrition’s Career Club.Support graduate student needs.30% Marketing and Communications:Science communications.Assist with web design for department programs and research labs.Social media support for department.Oversee the design, content, and distribution of departmental communications.Marketing and promotion of department programs.
