Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing finance team. This position will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and has experience managing high-volume accounts payable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
• Review and verify invoice coding and approvals in accordance with company policies
• Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships
• Assist with month-end close by preparing AP accruals and reconciliations
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely payment of obligations
• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for AP documentation
• Support annual audits by providing requested documentation and schedules
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance AP efficiency and controls
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and accounting teams to resolve invoice and payment issues
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
