Master Halco , North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products is seeking a Galvanized Laborer at our manufacturing plant. This position performs an array of functions including: Maintain and wear the appropriate safety equipment as required; including but not limited to approved safety footwear, safety glasses, hard hat with face shield, protective gloves, protective apron and/or other safety equipment for safe handling of material. Verify the safe operating condition of equipment, racks, and other devices used in the process. Report any unsafe conditions immediately to the maintenance supervisor. Responsibilities Repetitive heavy lifting and continuous bending. Maintain communication with and assist all co-workers in preparing and processing material. Assist crane operators in hooking and unhooking material as required. Maintain production schedule by locating raw material to be processed, loading and unloading material, removing miscellaneous debris prior to and after process, removing and/or banding material as required and locating area for finished product. Assthe kettle operators in drossing and cleaning work area as required. Verify quantity before and after process. If material is lost, immediately notify the appropriate area to locate and assist as required. Verify the quality of the material as per tag or work order prior to processing and the quality of the finished galvanized product. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to twist, reach, bend, push, pull, sweep, shovel, and lift. Lifting requirements include lifting various sized and shaped material from waist to chest height. Some floor to chest and overhead lifting required. The required weight range for two people ranges from 2 to 170 pounds. Work 10 hours per day, 4 days per week Monday – Thursday, occasional Friday, overtime is required. Shift is 5AM – 3:30PM.
