Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Wilson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work setting is a 294-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital's Emergency Department in Wilson, NC
• 26-bed Emergency Department serving a mixed patient population (all ages)
• Common diagnoses include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension (HTN)
• Patient ratio is 1:4–5, flexible depending on acuity
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to like assignments may be required
• GE monitors and standard ED equipment used
• EMR: Meditech (experience preferred)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; scrubs branded with the facility name are not permitted
• Wilson, NC is located 45 miles east of Raleigh, approximately 2 hours from the NC coast, and within 1 hour of Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University
