Project Engineer- Land Development

We are seeking a Project Engineer - Land Development to join a collaborative team delivering high-quality residential, commercial and industrial development projects. This role will suit a civil engineer with strong design and project coordination skills who can manage projects from concept through to construction, while building effective relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and approval authorities.


You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs, drawings, specifications, reports and technical documentation for land development projects. Key duties will include coordinating investigations and surveys; undertaking stormwater, drainage, road, earthworks, water and sewer design; preparing development applications and approvals documentation; managing project budgets, programmes and deliverables; and reviewing designs to ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes and authority requirements. You will also provide technical advice, respond to project queries, attend site meetings, inspect construction works and support the resolution of engineering and construction issues. The role may include mentoring junior engineers and coordinating the work of internal and external project teams.


The successful candidate will hold a degree in Civil Engineering and have relevant experience in land development, subdivision or civil infrastructure design. Professional registration or eligibility for registration, along with sound knowledge of applicable Australian standards, local authority requirements and development approval processes, will be highly regarded. You will be confident using civil design and documentation software, with experience in tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d or equivalent systems. Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work within agreed timeframes. A proactive approach, commercial awareness and commitment to safety, quality and positive project outcomes will be valued.
