Project Controls Director

Job Description

An Insight Global customer is seeking to hire a Project Controls Director for the construction of a new high tech manufacturing facility in North Phoenix. This person will be responsible for creating and managing all cost, schedule risk and change management functions for a multi-billion dollar state of the art complex with hundreds of thousands of square feet of office, manufacturing and clean room space. The primary responsibility of this role will be to ensure there is an end to end, integrated control of scope, budget and schedule across engineering, procurement, construction and tool installation projects. They will serve as the lead of the project's controls and must be able to provide real-time updates into the performance of the project, forecasts, and providing solutions to ensure successful, on-time and on-budget project completion. This is a full-time opportunity to join the team and we can offer a salary of $170k to $200k plus bonuses and a generous benefits package. Exact compensation may differ depending on education and experience.

Skills and Requirements

At least 10 years of experience working for an owner or general contractor supporting the construction of large/mega industrial or manufacturing projects.

Experience managing the costs, schedule, risk management program, change management program and developing/tracking KPIs for multi-billion dollar capital projects.

Cost Management - experience with EPC and GMP projects, leading integrated cost and schedule systems.

Schedule Management - experience owning a master schedule with tools like Primavera P6 and providing real-time project forecasts.

Ability to deliver the following key deliverables:

Project Controls Execution Plan (PCEP)

Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

Monthly Cost Forecast & Variance Report

Executive Dashboard (Cost/Schedule/Risk)

Change Control Log & Forecast Impact Reports

Risk Register with Quantified Exposure Bachelor's degree or other advanced degrees in relevant disciplines: construction, engineering, architecture, finance, risk, change management, etc.
