Hotel Room Cleaner

SUMMARYThe Room Attendant ensures hotel guest satisfaction by cleaning and servicing guest rooms to high standards, including making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing amenities. They operate in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to safety/sanitation protocols.Duties/Responsibilities:Obtains a list of vacant rooms that need to be cleaned.Prepare a housekeeping cart with the required supplies necessary to service the rooms (i.e., sheets, towels, robes, rugs, bathroom amenities, writing supplies, guest information, cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc.).Clean all rooms as required by emptying trash, making beds, dusting furniture, washing windows, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor patios.Remove all room service dishes.Reports items that are broken or need repair.Provide courteous guest service.Replenishes bathroom amenities, writing supplies, and guest information.Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.Interact and communicate with guests and fellow employees in a courteous and professional manner.Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager.Attend staff meetings.Education/Experience:Prior housekeeping experience preferred.Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment.Requires wearing uniforms and adhering to strict grooming standards.Skills/Abilities:Possess good verbal, written, and listening skills.Required to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence.Self-directed, energetic, and efficient.Must be at least 18 years of age.Able to pass a background check.Physical Requirements:Able to stand and walk on their feet for 95% of the shift.Possess good verbal, written, and listening skills.Required to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence.Self-directed, energetic, and efficient.Must be at least 18 years of age.Able to pass a background check.Must be able to speak and understand basic English.Must be flexible working weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.Regularly lifts 25 pounds and occasionally lifts 50 pounds.Ventana Canyon is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
