Network AdministratorThis position is on-site in Oklahoma City. Full-time 40-hour work weeks. Supports the Information Services Division. Salary is up to $70,000 based on education and experience. Sponsorship: At this time, we cannot offer sponsorship now or in the future.As an Network Administrator with OMES you will enjoy:Generous leave including 15 days of vacation, 15 days of sick leave and 11 paid holidays annually.A comprehensive Benefit Package with a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents.ResponsibilitiesPlans, develops, and implements wireless, telephone, data or other telecommunications or information technology programs and networks for the state.Performs professional and technical work in providing data and/or voice network services for the state; establishes and maintains networks and systems; performs preventive maintenance; evaluates systems performance, responds to malfunctions and operating problems, and identifies and resolves causes.Installs, tests, and modifies data networks, voice networks, wireless networks, Routers, and other communication components; coordinates and performs systems tests; adjusts, calibrates and modifies equipment or components to conform to specifications, implement engineering or software changes or enhance systems performance.Confers with agency users, representatives of other agencies and political subdivisions and others to determine requirements for wireless, voice, data, and other telecommunications services; coordinates requirements with technical staff, contractors, vendors, or others as needed to develop a plan of approach and provide for implementation of required tasks and activities.Manages/administers public safety network and ensures security compliance with State and Federal requirements.Researches network technologies and recommends technical solutions that can add efficiency and monitor performance.Cross trains IT staff to create depth in support of IT servicesOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentPhysical demands include the ability to bend, crouch, stoop, sit and/or lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more. The position uses manual equipment, including dollies and carts. Some extended hours including evenings and weekends maybe required.Minimum QualificationsA bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and at least four (4) years of Network Operations experience, Or 10+ years of Networking Infrastructure administration and support.HPE Juniper proficiency and expertise preferred.Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and detail oriented.Server and Security training is a plus.About OMESThe Office of Management and Enterprise Services provides excellent service, expert guidance and continuous improvement in support of our partners' goals.
