Junior Demand Planner

Position Title: Junior Demand Planner Wage: $20/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday QPS Employment Group is hiring a Junior Demand Planner for a company in Waukesha, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Responsibilities Update delivery schedule, track and address any deviations daily Track incoming delivery of raw material, minimally through the following 3 months Maintain clear and concise communication with suppliers and customers Inventory control Maintain internal KPIs and report deviations Monitor deliveries from raw material suppliers and stay up to date on suppliers’ performance Address supplier performance issues with leadership and propose recovery plan when necessary Track arrival of supplier trucks and manage missing or late deliveries Communicate with Accounting Department regarding suppliers’ invoices and customer credits Monitor actual production performance compared to planned production activities Raise any potential customer delivery or raw material shortage and prepare recovery plan Track inventory discrepancies and take necessary actions to recover from access or shortage of materials Provide updates on supplier and customer issues Maintain summary of projected sales based on customer EDI`s and demand guidance Administrative managerial tasks Organize and track shipments of goods, ensuring they reach their destinations on time and in good condition Track and confirm shipment status, provide updates to relevant parties, and resolve any issues or delays that arise during transit Prepare regular reports for management to provide insights into logistics operations Arrange for transportation, warehousing or distribution of products from domestic and external suppliers to ensure Ensure that shipments to all plants are posted properly according to the schedule previously arranged with freight forwarder / truckers Creation of inbound documents when necessary Coordinate shipments for specific subcontractors Daily reports Ensure on-time deliveries to customers Ensure raw material and supplies transportation ETA to support delivery plan Assist production in meeting customer requirements Maintain department KPIs related to sales and inventories on track Requirements Associate degree required in Logistics management or related field Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Previous experience with SAP is preferred (not mandatory) Minimum 1 year of experience in any of the following related areas: shipping, receiving, materials planning or procurement Proficient in English language Ability to work independently as well as with a team Walk in a manufacturing setting with multiple stairs and inclines Strong knowledge of materials planning and inventory control Understanding of different business functions Excellent oral and written language ability Customer service skills Basic mathematical ability Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills Ability to cope with changes Excellent organizational skills Extremely detail-oriented Long periods of sitting and using office equipment and computers Use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls May require reaching, carrying, stooping, and light strength to transport supplies and materials: exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects May require clarity of vision at 20 inches or less We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
