The North Plainfield School District is a culturally diverse PreK12 school district in Somerset County serving approximately 3,600 students. The North Plainfield School District is seeking a caring, student-centered School Nurse to support the health, safety, and well-being of our diverse student population.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat students who become ill or injured during the school day.
• Maintain health records and document visits, treatments, and health concerns.
• Administer medications according to district policy and applicable regulations.
• Develop and implement individualized health plans when needed.
• Support students with chronic health conditions.
• Train appropriate staff on emergency procedures when necessary.
• Communicate with parents/guardians and healthcare providers.
• Complete health screenings, immunization, and health compliance.
• Maintain accurate health records.
• Monitor illness trends within the school.
• Support emergency drills and crisis response.
• Provide health education.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• New Jersey School Nurse Certificate preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation and benefits are provided in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Eligible employees may receive: Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage Paid sick, personal, and bereavement leave EEO AO Salary: $69,630 (minimum) to $103,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience.
