PRN Physician Assistant Cardiothoracic Surgery
Location: Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY
Setting: Inpatient / OR
FTE: PRN
EMR: Epic
Summary:
Seeking a certified PA with strong CT surgery experience . Must be proficient first assisting and comfortable with OR, telemetry, and ICU duties .
Schedule / Call:
- 24 hr call: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
- Call: 1 2 days/week & 1 weekend/month
- Weekend: Friday 7 AM Monday 7 AM
- Includes inpatient rounds, procedures, surgery coverage
- Ongoing PRN & PTO/vacation coverage
Coverage Dates:
- May 31 June 13, 2026
- June 6 8, 2026 (CRITICAL)
- July , 2026
- Ongoing long term needs
Required Skills / Procedures:
- CABG
- AVR / MVR
- Thoracotomy & lung resections
- Vein harvesting
- Chest tube placement
Support:
- No APP support required; direct surgeon support
