PolisherLocation: WARSAW, IN, US, 46580 Business Unit: Paragon Medical OrthopedicsJOB SUMMARY: Responsible for all metal finishing processes and ensuring that all required processes are completed to produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Polishing, deburring, tumble deburring, blasting, in-process cleaning of surgical instruments and implants.Inspects products to blueprint specifications.Utilizes and completes documentation, as required.Understands and follows policies and procedures.Ensures general maintenance and upkeep of equipment.Complies with ISO policies and procedures.Troubleshoots problems associated with equipment, tooling, and processes.OCCASSIONAL DUTIES:Assembles work instruments.Overtime on an as needed basis.Assists supervisor, as needed.Assists in other departments, as needed.Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.EDUCATION: Minimum High School Diploma or GEDEXPERIENCE: 0 - 3 yearsKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Ability to use polishing lathes, suction or pressure blasters required.Expert knowledge of blueprint reading and machinery limitations.Ability to work with minimal supervision and to be team oriented.Excellent visual inspection ability.Sufficient manual dexterity to handle and manipulate delicate parts and measuring instruments.Analytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex blueprints.Ability to operate inspection and measurement equipment.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work performed in a production environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time (for Maintenance & Receiving only).
