In this impactful role, you will help shape and advance our safety culture by establishing safety goals, driving program implementation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and inspiring employees at all levels to identify and reduce workplace risks.If you are hands-on who is passionate about keeping people safe and influencing positive change, we want to hear from you!The day to day...Inspire the team in ways that ensure health and safety practices and policies are followed by everyone.Set and communicate a clear, compelling safety vision that fosters the development of a safety cultureCreate, lead and drive the AriensCo Safety Management SystemImplement, support, and continuously improve a behavioral-based Safety cultureDevelop and build the Safety teams to be highly involved in the continuous improvement of Safety programs and activitiesSupport and teach through the process of incident investigations to determine root cause and short/long term countermeasuresPartner with company leadership and team members to identify opportunities and implement solutions to enhance SafetyDevelop, implement and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and training requirementsMaintain knowledge of OSHA regulationsPlan and implement Safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulationsDevelop and facilitate training on various Safety related topicsPerform safety observations and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation complianceImplement preventive measures and assist with return-to-work activitiesProvide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changesOrder and maintain facility safety inventory including supplies and equipmentUnderstand the difference between acute and ergonomic injuries and develop activities and awareness to prevent bothInfluence and teach teams to understand the importance of and to be effective at 6SManage and submit the OSHA 300 log annuallyRepresent the organization in community or industry Safety groups and programsPerform other duties as assignedThe qualifications...Bachelor's degree (preferably in environmental health and safety) preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in Safety leadership, Safety Team involvement, or Safety TrainingManufacturing experience is a plusOSHA VPP knowledge and experience preferredA familiarity with lean manufacturing environments preferredA demonstrated positive impact in leading improvements with Safety programsModerate to Advanced Computer Skills with Microsoft Office and various other software productsApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.About AriensCoSince 1933, the AriensCo name has been associated with reliable, durably crafted, high-performance outdoor power equipment.
