Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in La Jolla, California. This position is located within a Perinatal Float Pool and involves rotating among multiple perinatal units, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and LDRP. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role involves providing care for high-risk obstetric patients, neonates, and postpartum mothers, utilizing advanced skills and certifications.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California state license, BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), BSN degree or higher, two years of combined labor and delivery and postpartum experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic EMR system; previous charge experience; community hospital, trauma level I/II, or travel experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Must be cross-trained and rotate among JMC L&D, JMC Postpartum, and Hillcrest LDRP units. Candidate must have demonstrated competency in both labor and delivery and postpartum areas, with a minimum of two years of experience in these fields. Candidate must be willing to float between campuses and affiliate hospitals based on census and unit needs. Mandatory vaccination for COVID-19 (including booster) and flu vaccines are required, with medical or religious exemptions considered.
