Supply Chain Specialist

Direct Hire Opportunity with Company Benefits Location : Dalton, G Compensation : $65,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience Schedule : Onsite Travel : Minimal local travel between facilities Summary TES Recruiting is partnering with a growing manufacturing company near Dalton, GA seeking a Supply Chain Improvement Manager to support inventory management, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives across two manufacturing facilities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong supply chain or materials background who also has exposure to Lean Manufacturing and wants to continue growing their continuous improvement skillset. The position will initially focus heavily on inventory, materials flow, supplier communication, and ERP/MRP execution, while gradually taking on more Lean and operational improvement responsibilities over time. The ideal candidate is analytical, hands-on, process-oriented, and comfortable working closely with production, scheduling, suppliers, and plant leadership. Duties and Responsibilities Manage raw material inventory and supplier communication across two facilities Monitor inventory accuracy, safety stock levels, lead times, and material availability Coordinate purchase orders, delivery updates, and material shortages Support ERP/MRP system usage and inventory management processes Analyze operational and inventory data to identify improvement opportunities Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, root cause analysis, standard work, and waste reduction Participate in continuous improvement and Kaizen activities Work cross-functionally with production, scheduling, warehouse, and leadership teams to improve operational performance Help develop sustainable processes and long-term operational improvements Qualifications 3+ years of supply chain, materials, purchasing, inventory, or production planning experience in manufacturing preferred Understanding of inventory management fundamentals including inventory accuracy, safety stock, lead times, FIFO, and Kanban Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Axiom, Amtech, or similar Strong Excel and analytical skills Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement concepts preferred Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification is a plus Strong communication skills and professional maturity Hands‑on mindset with willingness to spend time on the production floor Corrugated, packaging, paper, or general manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
