Tutor, Mathematics

Responsibilities Tutors students at all levels of assigned academic discipline. Conducts orientations to the assigned area. Assists staff in assigned area with various tasks. Attends mandatory tutor training seminars and other meetings when scheduled. Performs other duties as may be required or assigned. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Desired Qualifications Experience tutoring students. Demonstrated academic proficiency within the discipline. Knowledge Personal and professional commitment to creating an atmosphere of quality instruction. English reading, writing, and speaking skills at the native level of fluency. Ability to utilize technology and innovative pedagogy to enhance teaching and learning. Understanding of and commitment to working with a diverse student population in a multicultural environment. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor. Work Environment and Special Considerations Works in a classroom/lab setting. Flexible hours; days and assigned campus location may vary due to enrollment. This position is eligible for Veteran’s Preference. Pay Benefits And Work Schedule $14.00 hourly up to 26 hours per week.
