Info Security Analyst

Salary: $87,318.4 - 87,318.4 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a related field; no related experience is required, though 2 years is highly preferred. Additional experience may substitute for education.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Experience with SIEM technologies; experience analyzing security alerts in Microsoft Sentinel is preferred, though other SIEM tools are acceptable.
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus and anti-malware tools, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Ability to respond promptly to email security alerts in O365 and Proofpoint, and EDR alerts in CrowdStrike.
• Working knowledge of the incident response lifecycle: identification, protection, detection, response, and recovery.
• Ability to follow SOC standard operating procedures.

• Monitor security events across networks and systems, and identify, investigate, and report potential security incidents.
• Support risk and vulnerability assessments at the network, system, and application levels.
• Develop, maintain, and report on cyber metrics and threat intelligence.
• Identify, develop, and implement routine automation tasks.
• Help develop and implement security controls, operational risk mitigations, and security awareness programs.
• Address security matters involving architecture, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend security tools, techniques, and technologies, and introduce them in alignment with IT security strategy.
• Use commercial, government, and custom tools and procedures to scan for, identify, contain, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities and intrusions.
• Assist with implementing government policies, including NIST guidance, and recommend process tailoring.
• Analyze established security requirements, validate them, and recommend additional requirements and safeguards.
• Review system audits periodically and track corrective actions through closure.

We offer this role at a base rate of $41.98 per hour across the U.S. The position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime at 1.5 times the base hourly rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek, or as required by applicable law. Final pay within the stated range depends on relevant skills, education, and experience.
