Dietitian – WMHIRequisition ID: WMHI Dietitian Client: TN MHSAS – Western Mental Health Institute Work Location: 11100 Old Highway 64 W, Bolivar, TN 38008 (Onsite) Pay Rate: $45/hour (1099) Assignment Duration: March 23, 2026 – June 30, 2026 Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 7.5 hours per day | CSTEducation & Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Home Economics (Food), or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.Minimum 3 years of professional experience in dietetics, including at least 1 year as a Registered Dietitian.Relevant graduate-level coursework may substitute for up to one year of non-specialized experience.Active Registered Dietitian license is required.Position OverviewUnder general supervision, the dietitian will provide professional nutrition services within a state mental health facility. The role involves planning, developing, and implementing therapeutic diets and delivering medical nutrition therapy to support patient health, disease management, and recovery.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, and manage therapeutic diets and specialized menus.Review medical records, nutrition history, food intake, anthropometric data, and laboratory results to assess patient needs.Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans and provide dietary counseling.Calculate BMI, caloric requirements, protein intake, fluid needs, and other nutritional metrics.Evaluate and adjust menus to ensure proper caloric and nutrient balance.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding patient nutrition plans.
