Program Manager - Federal Government Agency

Program Manager – Federal Government Contracts Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee programs and contracts with multiple Federal Government Agencies and the internal WAVE Team located in Washington D.C. The role directs a team delivering service delivery, contract compliance, project management, engineering, and personnel management to these customers. Key Responsibilities Oversee all contracts and work for the Federal Government Agencies related to Motorola contracts. Manage teams providing services such as inventory, radio programming, projects, field work, infrastructure, hardware and software sustainment, support, maintenance, upgrades, cyber security, equipment maintenance, spectrum management, support at NSSE events, and other functions. Support and oversee all contracts between Motorola and Federal Government Agencies involving communications, inventory, projects, hardware and software, and related services under current or future contracts. Ensure seamless delivery of mission‑critical communication solutions and services to federal agency customers. Build high‑performing teams, cultivate positive customer relationships, and administer budgets effectively. Measure team performance and customer goals using data analysis. Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of experience leading large, complex teams and projects; 10 years of management and leadership experience in large systems, technical or service delivery teams. 10 years of personnel management experience including hiring, firing, employee evaluations, discipline, coaching, and mentoring. 5 years of customer relations or account management experience with demonstrable high customer satisfaction ratings. 5 years of financial and budget management experience preparing, administering, and forecasting budgets; ability to hit financial milestones and manage project costs. 5 years of project management experience on large, complex projects; familiarity with developing schedules, plans, financial planning, risk mitigation, and related artifacts. PMP certification is preferred. 5 years of strategic planning experience, goal setting, tracking, and leading teams to achieve organizational goals. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, risk management, data analysis, organizational, and prioritization skills. Ability to use standard business software (Google Suite, email, spreadsheets, scheduling software). Strong data analysis skills for measuring performance and achieving customer goals. Must be located in Washington DC, Maryland, Northern VA area; on‑site in Washington D.C. 3+ days per week. Federal background check clearance required; U.S. citizenship required. Qualifications and Education Four‑year degree in a technical field, management, or leadership (or equivalent experience). Experience with Astro or knowledge of ASTRO is preferred. Location & Travel Position based in Washington D.C., Maryland, or Northern Virginia. Requires on‑site attendance in Washington D.C. 3+ days per week; remote work acceptable for Compensation Base salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 USD, with additional incentive bonus plans.
