POSITION DESCRIPTION:  

Reporting to the Manager, Research & Development, the Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for analyzing in-process and finished product samples are in compliance with quality control procedures to satisfy the expectations and demands of our customers. Coordinates activities related to the implementation of ISO procedures and serves as management representative.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Communicates company policies to personnel and enforces safety and environmental regulations
• Implements, manage, and maintain continuous improvement of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 14001/45001:2015 Environmental Management Systems.
• Develop and implement Standard work instructions (SWI) and policies to meet quality objectives.
• Develop and execute audit plans, perform internal audits, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Prepare for external/internal audits and serve as the primary point of contact for all certification bodies.
• Maintain quality documentation for all incoming materials and finished goods, including inspection records, statistical process control (SPC) methods, and non-conforming product logs and contracts of conformance.
• Ensures lab equipment performance and calibrations, materials and services are reliable to meet the required laboratory standards and procedures.
• Analyzes and assists in the resolution of non-conforming products.
• Oversee the investigation and resolution of customer complaints regarding technical or quality issues.
• Monitor key metrics related to product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Complies with all Operation procedures, environmental, health, safety and housekeeping programs.
• Communicates with Supply Chain leader & Corporate/ Sales management on raw material or finished good quality issues.
• Prepare reports and track compliance.
• Conduct new hire ISO Awareness training for staff related to Quality, Environmental and Safety.
• Manage Return Material Authorization (RMA).
• Point of contact during quarterly inventory
• Other duties as assigned.

PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in quality management and continuous improvement practices
• Strong Quality and Environmental knowledge
  • Auditor Certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail with the ability to operate under deadlines
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills

V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel, tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, an occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment. The employee must occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position may involve the generation or handling of hazardous and industrial waste. Duties may include proper accumulation, labeling, transfer, and handling of waste in your area.
