RN Skin Integrity Coordinator (RN)

STGi is currently seeking a RN Skin Integrity Coordinator to provide services at the Georgia War Veterans Home.

The Skin Integrity Coordinator RN is responsible for managing the skin program at the Georgia War Veteran's Home. This position involves evaluating residents' skin conditions, providing care and treatments as per physician orders, and maintaining compliance with professional standards of practice.

Essential functions include evaluating residents' skin conditions and providing care and related treatments in accordance with physician orders and professional standards of practice. Other duties include measuring skin areas and documenting findings in the resident's medical record, initiating and updating care plans related to skin health, and communicating with physicians, residents, family members, charge nurse, and other interdisciplinary team members regarding resident status as appropriate.

Required skills include the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served, and the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Required education and experience includes a current unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Georgia, a minimum of two years of experience as an RN, a nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) program, training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices, and the ability to obtain and maintain an active American Heart Association BLS certification.
