Lead Instructor – Ventura
codeCampus is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Lead Instructor in the Ventura area to inspire young minds in STEAM subjects. If you are an educator dedicated to fostering a love of learning in elementary and middle school students, and live or work in Ventura or surrounding communities, we encourage you to apply. We teach engaging topics in digital art, computer science, engineering, and robotics. No prior coding experience is required.

The Role
As a Lead Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging STEAM education. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with staff at our partner schools.
- Leading engaging STEAM projects and activities for students using our proprietary curriculum.
- Teaching students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
- Building trusting, respectful relationships with students and parents.
- Fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Undertaking additional duties as assigned to support program success.
Qualifications
This role is ideal for both early-career and experienced educators. Candidates should have:
- Availability to begin paid training immediately and start instructing promptly.
- Consistent availability Monday through Friday.
- Proven experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to complete our comprehensive professional development training program.
Compensation
The hourly rate is $25.00, commensurate with experience. Long-term employees may have opportunities for performance-based pay raises and advancement.
