Advanced Practice Nurse/ Physician Assistant - Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics

About the Role North Franklin Internal Medicine & Pediatrics and Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team. The provider will excel in our urgent care/walk‑in clinics while ensuring quality care for a diverse patient population. Hours Full‑Time (3 days a week, 7:45 AM – 6:00 PM) Responsibilities Perform complete physical exams, obtain medical histories, and record findings. Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information. Order and, as appropriate, perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Determine preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans by interpreting and integrating data. Post tests and examination results as appropriate. Instruct patients/families regarding medications, treatments, health and illness prevention, and recommend community resources. Assist physicians in managing acute and long‑term medical needs of patients. Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits. Triage nursing and family telephone calls and provide consultation. Education Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program. Experience Minimum of three years of prior patient‑care experience in a clinic setting, with a preference for two years of APN or PA experience. Certification / License Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Tennessee—or a current Physician Assistant licensed to practice in Tennessee.
