Controls Engineer

Description

Develops and implements low to medium complexity control systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and best practices.

Participates in system commissioning and ensures designs meet project requirements.

(If they are experienced)- Manage small-scale controls projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met

Identifies and resolves low level issues within production and development control systems using predefined methods and guidelines

Create and refine controls system documentation, including diagrams, manuals, and reports to ensure alignment with best practices and

compliance requirements.

Implement simple automation and safety systems. Ensures safety standards are met and integrates them into control systems.

Assisting in the electrical design, plc and robotic programming, use universal robots, open to other robots, hmi development (ignition, digital factory), not a lot of new PLC implementation

Breakdown would be 25% HMI development, 25-40% Electrical / System design, 30-40% supporting functions

Additional Skills & Qualifications

BS degree in engineering highly preferred for entry level however will look at 2-year degree in electrical or mechatronics engineering)

Strong GPA and internship experience highly preferred

If no degree - 5+ years of experience required

Experience with Rockwell or Allen Bradley PLC's a plus

Working knowledge of mechatronics theory, a plus (interaction between mechanical components, electrical systems, and control logic.)

This is a Contract position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $58.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
