VP Transmission Operations

Vice President of Operations – Transmission Construction (765kV)
We are seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Operations to support and help lead major 765kV transmission infrastructure projects. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a proven utility construction professional with extensive experience managing large-scale transmission, EPC, or heavy infrastructure projects.
Candidates with strong experience on 345kV–500kV transmission projects will also be considered.
The VP of Operations will oversee project execution, operational performance, scheduling, cost controls, PMO functions, and field coordination for complex transmission construction operations valued between $50M–$100M+.
Key Responsibilities- Provide executive operational leadership for large-scale transmission construction projects
- Oversee project execution, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls
- Lead PMO functions including reporting, KPI tracking, risk management, and operational planning
- Partner with executive leadership, project teams, field operations, engineering, procurement, and clients
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Drive operational efficiencies, field productivity, and process improvements
- Support strategic planning and long-term operational growth initiatives
- Mentor and develop project leadership teams across multiple active projects
- Experience supporting 765kV transmission projects strongly preferred
- Candidates with 345kV–500kV transmission project experience will also be considered
- Strong background in operations leadership, project scheduling, cost controls, and PMO oversight
- Experience managing utility, transmission, EPC, or infrastructure construction projects valued at $50M–$100M+
- Proven leadership experience overseeing large field and project management teams
- Strong understanding of transmission construction operations and project execution
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Based in Fort Worth, Texas
- Travel required approximately 3 days per week to project sites in Texas.
