This role will be responsible for managing the accounting, analysis, and reporting for compensation areas. This role is expected to provide technical and administrative guidance and support to the team and our business partners. This role is also expected to provide analytical support regarding financial statements and general ledger activity as it relates to compensation areas. They will serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to employees. They are expected to develop processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and process improvements.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Managing and coordinating the activities of Accounting staff to ensure efficient department operationsEnsuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis in compliance with GAAPContinually drives automation and process improvement across team to simplify process and increase efficiency of month-end close.Developing procedures to adapt to operational changes and policy updates within the departmentOverseeing internal and external audit inquiries, managing audit processes to maintain financial integrityEnforcing corporate policies regarding internal controls to safeguard company assetsReviewing balance sheet reconciliations, guiding Accountants on necessary adjustments and entriesProviding subject matter expertise and guidance to employees, developing performance standards for the teamAdapting departmental plans to address resource and operational challenges, implementing functional strategiesDeveloping, mentoring, and training Accounting team membersConsistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
