Our nationally recognized specialists treat a full range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, helping patients of all ages move, heal, and thrive.Join us and become part of a trusted network committed to excellence in orthopedic care.Primary Functions & ResponsibilitiesClinical CarePerform physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and document patient informationDevelop and implement treatment plans for new and established patientsOrder and interpret diagnostic studies as appropriateEducate patients and families regarding treatment plans and medicationsConsult with physicians as needed to assess patient condition and care plansCare CoordinationProvide ongoing monitoring and continuity of care between physician visitsDeliver follow-up care in accordance with practice guidelinesEnsure medical records and administrative documentation are completed accurately and in a timely mannerPreoperative & Perioperative ResponsibilitiesPerform preoperative assessments and confirm completion of required documentationEvaluate patients for compliance with admission and procedural requirementsConfirm that medical clearance and diagnostic testing are completed and documentedNotify the Medical Director or physician if a patient does not meet criteria for outpatient proceduresEducate patients and families on the perioperative process and expectationsAssist with surgical scheduling as neededClinical Support & CompliancePerform duties within the scope of privileges approved by the governing bodyDocument physician orders and ensure proper execution of care plansAdminister medications and monitor patients in accordance with facility policyAssist with preoperative and postoperative activitiesSupport medical and administrative staff as neededParticipate in patient rounding when requiredTravel between locations as neededKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong clinical assessment and decision-making skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating with physicians and care teamsExcellent communication and patient education skillsStrong organizational and documentation abilitiesAbility to respond effectively in emergency situationsAbility to follow instructions with minimal supervisionProfessional demeanor and commitment to patient-centered careStrong customer service orientationQualificationsGraduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programCurrent Virginia PA licensure (or eligibility)NCCPA certification requiredPrior orthopedic or surgical experience preferredPRM123Compensation Range for this position: $111,200.00 - $166,800.00Compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, geography/market, and internal equity considerations.This organization participates in e-Verify.
