Respiratory Therapist Position at Shriners Children's ChicagoShriners Children's Chicago is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a part-time, day shift schedule. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pediatric critical care respiratory therapy and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.Hours: This part-time day shift position works 48 hours bi-weekly and the hours are 7am to 7pm.Key Responsibilities:The Respiratory Therapist gets the opportunity to participate in daily planning via patient rounds.You'll work as part of the interdisciplinary team for the plan of care for our patients.You'll be able to increase your knowledge in orthopaedic care to improve outcomes for our amazing patients and families.Our Respiratory Therapists have the opportunity for academic growth through participation in research projects.Provides primary respiratory care to patients from admission through their discharge under a physician's orderCommunicates verbal and/or written patient and departmental information/special needs to pertinent persons in a timely and appropriate manner (i.e. rounds)Documents accurate, specific, complete patient care data according to policy and procedure guidelinesAssures safe, cost effective operation and function of pertinent equipment and utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areasRequired Qualifications:Associate Respiratory Therapy5 Years RT experience in ICU settingRRTLicense in state of IllinoisBasic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from American Heart AssociationPreferred Qualifications:2 Year Pediatric experienceThe pay range for this position is $33.47 - $50.22. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
