JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Ophthalmologist Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Location: Beloit, WI Service Setting: Outpatient Clinic / Ambulatory Surgery Center Schedule: Full-Time (Schedule to be discussed) On-Call Expectations: 1:6 Call Rotation PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics Average Daily Volume / Census: 3840 patients per day Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: Comprehensive Ophthalmology including Cataract, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, Medical Retina, Pediatric, and Cornea FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS EMR System: Cerner Specialty Backup: Established referral base from primary care network Support Staff: 2 Ophthalmologists, 2 Optometrists (including low vision specialist), dedicated technicians and scribes Leadership & Reporting Structure: Physician-led multispecialty group Reason for Opening: Growth CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE Board Requirements: BC/BE in Ophthalmology DEA & Certifications: DEA (as required) Credentialing Timeline: Standard credentialing timeline applies COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS Base Salary: Competitive compensation Incentive Bonus Structure: Performance-based incentives available Student Loan Repayment: Available CME Allowance: Included PTO & Holidays: Generous time off package (details provided upon inquiry) Health & Retirement Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Coverage Retirement package available Malpractice Insurance (with Tail, if applicable) REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Board Status: BC/BE in Ophthalmology State License Required: Active WI License or Eligibility to Apply Certifications: As required Experience: Open to new graduates and experienced physicians Additional Requirements: Interest in comprehensive ophthalmology practice DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive ophthalmologic care across a broad range of conditions Perform surgical and non-surgical eye procedures Collaborate with optometrists and multidisciplinary care teams Maintain continuity of care through follow-ups and consults Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation COMMUNITY & LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS About the Area: Beloit offers a vibrant and diverse community with a strong sense of history and culture Local Attractions: Riverfront, downtown district, Beloit College, and cultural events School System: Variety of public and private school options Housing: Affordable housing with historic and modern neighborhood options Demographic & Professional Profile: Family-friendly community with access to major metro areas Nearby Cities: 45 minutes from Madison, WI; 75 minutes from Milwaukee, WI; 90 minutes from Chicago, IL Nearest Airport: Chicago O'Hare International Airport Distance from Airport: Approximately 84 miles about 1 hour 30 minutes by car
