Rimforest Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, motivated Associate Veterinarian to join our well-established small animal practice. We are offering part-time or full-time employment with no weekend hours , providing an excellent work–life balance in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Overview

The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical care to companion animals while building trusted relationships with clients and staff. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who values teamwork, professional growth, and practicing medicine without the burden of weekend schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostics
• Diagnose and treat medical conditions in companion animals
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Perform routine surgical and dental procedures (as applicable)
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Collaborate effectively with veterinary technicians and support staff

Requirements – State of California

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree
• Active California veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain DEA registration
  
• Strong clinical, communication, and client-education skills
• Commitment to ethical, high-quality veterinary care
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
