Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $24.50 - $48.50 Position Highlights Hours: 7 pm‑7 am & 7 am‑7 pm; 72 hrs/2 weeks; Every 3rd weekend/holiday Student Loan Repayment: Eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program – up to $10,000, with an extra $167 monthly from Avera to help pay down the principal balance faster. LPN pay scale: $24.50, $29.13, $33.75 RN pay scale: $32.50, $40.50, $48.50 A Brief Overview Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; and re‑evaluating care objectives. What You Will Do Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions; communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to the health‑care team; coordinating with other healthcare providers; and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories; examining patients; documenting patient physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors; conferring with family; and establishing nursing diagnoses, objectives, and interventions. Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals; instructing patients, families, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answering questions; and providing information and resources. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes; reviewing records; noting changes; re‑evaluating objectives; and modifying the nursing care plan. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations; and by alerting others regarding potential concerns. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Keep patient care equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Keep patient care supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and stocking items. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing; an active license in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience 1‑3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
