RN Med-Surg Ortho Neuro

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care primarily on the 1 West-Med-Surg Ortho/Neuro Unit, with occasional floating to other Med-Surg units such as Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation. The role involves patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Proficiency in Epic EMR and the ability to read Telemetry are essential. This position requires strong clinical skills and a minimum of three years of recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current and active Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR system (no refresher or 1:1 training available).
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret Telemetry data.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in Med-Surgical Ortho/Neuro units.
• Experience in Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, or Observation units.

Special Considerations:

• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Every other weekend work is required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Failure to demonstrate Epic proficiency or Telemetry competency on day one will result in termination.

Scheduling:

• 36 hours per week on day shift.
• Shifts primarily on 1 West-Med-Surg Ortho/Neuro Unit with occasional float to other Med-Surg units.
• Start date available is November 16th unless the RN is a returning traveler within 9 months.
