Job Description: - Unit: IMCU - Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM - Block Scheduling: Not promised or guaranteed - Floating Required: Yes - Scrub Color: Navy Blue Key Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional care for patients in an Intermediate Care Unit. - Manage a diverse patient population including those with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. - Utilize specialty equipment such as temp pacers, chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo. - Collaborate with respiratory therapists to assist with patients on chronic vents. Common Diagnoses: - Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory conditions including: - COPD - DKA - Sepsis - Myocardial Infarction (MI) - CV stepdown - Post-operative care Patient Demographics: - Adults aged 18 and above - 64 beds in total, including 15 designated neuro beds Submission Requirements: - Up-to-date resume with 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience and travel experience. - Skills Checklist that matches specialty. - Driver's license with address that matches demographics. - Current AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications. - NURSYS report for license verification (ACTIVE NY License & ALL RN licenses). - RTO must be included at the time of submission. - EMR experience required: EPIC.
