Full Desk Recruiter / Executive Search Consultant (1099 Commission-Based / Independent Contractor)
Location: Sarasota
Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation: 100% Commission-Based (High-Split Structure)
Position Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated, and experienced Full Desk Recruiter to operate as an independent 1099 contractor. In this role, you will manage the complete lifecycle of direct-hire staffing—driving new business development, managing client relationships, and sourcing high-caliber candidates.
This position offers complete autonomy, flexible working hours, and an uncapped, performance-driven earning potential for a recruiter who thrives in a 360-degree agency or executive search environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development (Sales): Prospect, cold call, network, and pitch decision-makers (Hiring Managers, VPs, C-Suite) to secure new job requisitions and signed fee agreements.
- Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing the relationship, defining job specifications, scheduling interviews, and gathering feedback.
- Full-Cycle Sourcing & Candidate Engagement: Source top-tier candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, cold outreach, referral networks, and direct headhunting.
- Screening & Interviewing: Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to qualify candidates on technical fit, experience, culture match, and compensation expectations.
- Offer Negotiation & Closing: Facilitate salary negotiations, extend offers, manage counter-offer situations, and ensure smooth onboarding to guarantee placement fees.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3+ years of successful full-desk recruiting or agency staffing experience (managing both client sales and candidate sourcing).
- Track Record: Proven history of consistently billing revenue and bringing in new business/client accounts.
- Industry Focus: Experience placing professionals in [e.g., Healthcare, IT, Accounting & Finance, Engineering, Executive Search].
- Self-Starter Mindset: Highly disciplined, goal-oriented, and capable of managing your daily workflow independently without micromanagement.
