Job Description

The Deburrer performs precision deburring and finishing operations on metal components to remove burrs and imperfections left from machining and other manufacturing processes. This role ensures parts meet safety, functionality, and assembly requirements by smoothing surfaces, following detailed work instructions, and working closely with machinists and quality teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform deburring and finishing operations on metal parts after machining to remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections.
• Use hand tools, pneumatic grinders, small power tools, and other metal finishing equipment to smooth and polish surfaces.
• Inspect parts visually and with basic measurement tools to verify they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers to ensure accuracy and consistency in deburring processes.
• Collaborate with machinists and quality inspectors to identify, communicate, and resolve part quality or fit issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies and manufacturing best practices.
• Handle small precision components carefully to avoid damage and ensure consistent finishing quality.
• Perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail and accuracy throughout the shift.
• Support production goals by working efficiently and independently while contributing positively to the team environment.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support continuous, around-the-clock manufacturing operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of UNION, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
