About the Role:

Gensinger Fire Protection LLC is looking for a skilled Fire Sprinkler Mechanic to join our team in Centereach, NY! This is a great opportunity to work with a dedicated fire protection company where your craftsmanship and expertise will help keep homes and businesses safe every day.

Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in residential and commercial properties
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for sprinkler system layouts
Cut, thread, and fit pipe for sprinkler system installations
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on existing fire suppression systems
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning sprinkler heads, valves, and related components
Ensure all work complies with NFPA codes, local fire codes, and safety regulations

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years experience in fire sprinkler installation, service, repair, inspection and maintenance.
Knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and applicable fire protection codes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency with pipe fitting, threading, and hand/power tools
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious, and dependable work ethic
OSHA 30 preferred OSHA 10 mandatory
