Mechanical Technician

Job Description This is a Temp to Hire Position. Shift Timings : 7 AM to 7 PM (4 days a week) We have both 1st and 2nd shift. Key Responsibilities Assist in basic shop tasks, including electropolishing, passivation, 02 cleaning and other special processes, under direct supervision as needed to support metal finishing projects Prepare metal surfaces for finishing, polishing, or repair by cleaning, grinding, sanding, and deburring Perform mechanical polishing using tools such as grinders, buffers, and sanders to achieve required surface finishes Support experienced metal finishers and technicians on larger or more complex field and shop projects Conduct basic quality checks to ensure finished surfaces meet Talica’s quality and appearance standards and log results on job and time sheets provided with the work order. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area at all times and be prepared to clean when so directed. Follow all safety protocols and consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings Participate in training sessions to build technical skills, industry knowledge, and finishing techniques Qualifications No prior experience required; training will be provided Strong attention to detail with an interest in craftsmanship and surface quality Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools Commitment to safety, quality, and Talica’s operating standards Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods Ability to lift materials consistent with job requirements Company Description With almost four decades of experience as a proven industry leader, Acro continues to be consistently recognized among the Best & Brightest Companies to Work for in the United States.
