Location: Atlanta, GA

Role Summary
The Site Safety Manager will lead the site safety management system across construction, testing, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and emergency response. The role will oversee safety audits, hazard logs, corrective actions, emergency preparedness, OSHA compliance, contractor safety, and operational readiness.

Required Skills / Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Senior safety-management experience across construction, system integration, testing, commissioning, passenger operations, and maintenance.
Experience in public transportation, automated transit, rail, or other high-consequence systems.
Strong knowledge of Safety Management Systems, risk management, hazard tracking, corrective actions, and audits.
Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, emergency preparedness, evacuation, rescue, and responder coordination.
Knowledge of OSHA reporting, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, contractor safety, and simultaneous-work controls.
Ability to stop unsafe work or service and escalate safety concerns.
Strong communication and independent decision-making skills.

Preferred Certifications

OSHA 30-Hour strongly preferred.
OSHA 510/500 or OSHA 511/501 preferred or obtainable within 12 months.
CSP, ASP, or CHST.
Transit safety training through FTA, TSI, APTA, or equivalent.

Nice to Have

GDOT, FTA, State Safety Oversight, PTASP, or transit SMS experience.
Automated transit or rail safety certification experience.
Atlanta/Georgia operating experience.
