Medical AssistantPride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's Medical Facility in Lafayette, LA 70506. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Job Name: Medical AssistantContract type: Local ContractLocation: Lafayette, LA 70506Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension)Pay rate: $20-23/hr. On W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience)Schedule: Mon – Thu from 7:45 am to 4:45 pm and Friday from 8 am to 2:30 pm (40 hrs./ wk.)Travel: As needed for coverage in Baton Rouge, LA.Job Responsibilities:Assist providers with patient care by following through on treatment plans and provider ordersTake and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical informationPrepare patients for examinations, treatments, and proceduresPerform blood draws and specimen collection as applicableConduct x-rays if certified and authorizedSupport daily clinical operations and participate in direct patient care activitiesMaintain accurate patient records and update documentation within the medical record systemMonitor exam rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment to ensure readiness for patient careCommunicate with patients regarding appointments, care instructions, and follow-up needsAdhere to clinic, hospital, safety, and infection control protocolsQualifications:High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a hospital/ clinic setting.Current Medical Assistant Certification/ Registration.
