Electric Motor/ Hoist Technician Durham

Associated scaffolding hoist / warehouse service technician is responsible for a variety of functions that range from processing incoming shipments and materials, to picking and filling orders for customer. The technician is required to work as a member of a team and as an individual based on the task must be a self-starter.

Other responsibilities include organizing, inspecting, and repairing equipment so that it is in good and safe working condition before being put back into service.

Employees must also practice safe work conditions to prevent injuries and hazards from arising.

Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years old
• Have and maintain a valid NC driver's license
• Proficiency in verbal communications in the English language
• Proficiency in reading and writing the English language
• Have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electrical schematics

Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at a later date:

• Must be mechanically and electrically inclined.
• Overhaul and repair of hoist motors
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Process, prepare, and palletize orders for shipment
• Sort, organize, inspect, repair, complete service reports, and return equipment to proper storage locations.
• Wear proper safety equipment and apparel (PPE)
• Ability to follow instructions in an efficient manner
• Problem solving and organizational skills
• Reliable and dependable

Training:

Technicians must complete required training which includes:

• Forklift
• Fire prevention, lockout tag out, personal protective equipment, blood borne pathogens
• Manufactures technical training for hoist
• Other courses may be required as equipment changes.
